Sometimes I wonder if people really mean what they say. I've encountered in my simple existence countless times when people make promises that they just can't keep, and sometimes I think that they never intended to. I don't make promises to people, because if I say I'll do something then I intend on doing it, unless there has been an option of one thing or another.
I am surrounded by people because of the limited knowledge of the English language they have to use vulgarity to express themselves. Or maybe they have come to the point where no other word could justify, or intensify to the degree of which they are feeling certain emotions. I feel most times that people just want to be understood. I sure do. Maybe people don't want pity but they want someone to have empathy (which the word itself by definition is understanding and entering into another's feelings) and compassion. Cry with me, don't pat me on the back and say you'll be fine. There have been times in which I wanted to shout profanity at the top of my lungs because I was exploding with an emotion, and feeling that I couldn't relay to the person I was speaking to just exactly how I felt and they failed to understand me. But I didn't because it wasn't going to help them empathize with me.
There have been times in which I have said things in ways which offended others. Yet if that person really understood how dearly I cared about them they would know that my choice of words wasn't meant to offend, or battle, or belittle, or position myself against them. Yet many times I have taken offense because of a choice of words by another. There are times in which someone may offend another, but then again why take offense by others words...as long as you don't believe them. We chose our battles. I've had to learn the hard way. Why choose battles against those that we know love us when there are so many battles and hardships already all around us.
The only person I believe that ever was perfect when he spoke was Christ. He truly knew the perfect meaning of all of our words and how, where and when to place them. Every time I read scripture the passages can mean something different but something equally good, uplifting, and insightful. Why because the words that he chose have multiple meanings. I'd love to quote and give example but instead of providing the evidence...it is there in scripture for everyone to read for themselves.
So no pictures today but two cents from Simone. Take or leave it.
